Owen Thomas Learning Consultant for ages 10-13 years Owen started with Wondertree two years ago as a mentor for science and he found a community that he wanted to stay with. It is with excitement that the older group connects to the projects and explorations that evolve and manifest in Owen's room each day. Owen's love of music is always present as you can find our resident troubador on walks with the learners with instrument in hand, playing wonderful fun songs. |

Kate Blyth Learning Consultant for ages 6-9 years Kate joined the Wondertree community in October 2006 after spending 3 years working at a school in England. Kate believes that we all need to honour our own journey and be given the space to explore and pursue that which makes our eyes sparkle with excitement. Kate hopes to join her learners on their journey and inspire them to try new things, challenging any inner and outer imposed boundaries they
feel to happiness and self-actualization. She is thrilled about the opportunity to join the Wondertree community and continue her own learning with and from everyone around in the school we call life. As she goes along, she keeps the wise advice from her learners in mind to, “just be the best you can be. |

Verena Gibbs B.Ed. Vice-Principal Life journeys unravel in mysterious, confusing, inspiring, frustrating and creative ways. My life at Wondertree has been no different. Through my involvement and participation in this community, I have learned a great deal about learning, authenticity and integrity. Loving and learning begins at conception and likely goes beyond the death of our physical selves. I honour each person and in doing so, honour myself. I look for the beauty in things and in my search, become more beautiful. My work involves taking apart the 'box' to create newer, more exciting shapes, and sometimes to toss the box out
all together! I am grateful for this learning and living opportunity. Shine big and bright and most importantly... in your own way. |
